I was looking for an OK lamp. Is READY the same state?

READY is the ready-to-drive label in these export manuals. The Atto 3 guide uses OK for that same kind of state. Either word means the drive will respond once you select a gear.

READY is on and the car will not move.

Check that the gear is in D or R, that a charge plug is not connected, and that the parking-brake lamp has gone out. A power or brake warning on the cluster explains a refusal to move.

Most lamps light for a few seconds when you power the car on. That check is not a fault by itself. This page does not replace the owner’s manual for your model year and market.

What it means

READY means the system will move the car once you select a gear. On the plug-in Song Plus DM-i and Seal U DM-i the engine can stay off after READY appears, until the battery is low, the cabin needs heat, or you ask for more power. On the battery-only Song Plus EV and Seal U EV, READY means the electric drive is live and there is no engine to start. Markets that badge the plug-in as Sealion 6 use the same READY lamp. The Atto 3 guide labels this kind of state OK. A connected charge plug blocks driving. If a collision or a serious fault shuts the drive down, READY goes out.

What to do

Wait for READY before you select a gear. Confirm the parking-brake lamp has gone out before you move. If READY never appears, check that the key is in the cabin and that the charge plug is disconnected. On a plug-in, READY with the engine stopped is normal electric driving, not a failure to start.
