Most lamps light for a few seconds when you power the car on. That check is not a fault by itself. This page does not replace the owner’s manual for your model year and market.
What it means
This is the 12-volt side of the car, not the large traction-battery gauge. It reports the supply that feeds the lights, the screens, the locks, and the control units, and the small auxiliary battery that backs it up. While driving, a steady lamp means that supply is not healthy. During charging, the same lamp can mean the charge equipment or the on-board charger has a fault. On Song Plus and Seal U this lamp is the 12-volt supply. The traction-battery percentage, and the fuel gauge on a plug-in, can both look usable while this lamp is on.
What to do
Switch off the air conditioning and the fans to reduce the load, stop in a safe place, and arrange a check. If you keep driving, steering assist, lights, and a clean shutdown can fade as the auxiliary battery drops. Plugging in the high-voltage charge port does not, by itself, restore a failed low-voltage supply.

Common questions
- The big battery still shows plenty of charge. Why is this lamp on?
- The percent gauge is the traction pack. This lamp is the 12-volt supply. One can look healthy while the other has failed.
- It came on while the car was charging. Is that the same fault?
- During a charge, this lamp can mean the charge equipment or the on-board charger, not only the 12-volt battery. Stop the charge and have that session checked before you rely on the car.
