Most lamps light for a few seconds when you power the car on. That check is not a fault by itself. This page does not replace the owner’s manual for your model year and market.
What it means
This plug lamp means a charge connector is still in the Dolphin’s port, so the car will not drive. The port sits in the nose, out of the driver’s sight, which is why the cluster has to say it. Export Dolphin manuals treat a connected cable as a block on pulling away, not as a fault in the motor. The lamp is separate from the 12-volt battery warning and from the traction-battery temperature lamp.
What to do
Stay in Park, stop the charge, disconnect the cable, and close the flap. Request READY again only after the plug lamp has gone out. If the cable will not release, use the manual release described for that port and wait. Do not drive off against the cable.

Common questions
- The car will not leave Park. Is the drive broken?
- Check this plug lamp first. A cable locked in the nose port is a normal reason for the Dolphin to refuse to drive.
- I unplugged and the lamp is still on.
- Confirm the connector is fully out and the flap is closed, then power the car off and on. If the lamp stays on with the port empty, have the charge inlet checked. That is a fault, not the normal connected state.
